About Our Founder

Elizabeth Thomas Lilya has over 10 years experience working in education. She started as an academic tutor and later worked as an academic coach in her home town of Houston, TX. When she moved to Arizona in the summer of 2020, she started ETL Academics, knowing students were struggling more than ever given how tumultuous the year had been. She has a passion for working with students of all ages and aims to employ educators that share her enthusiasm for making school more manageable for both students and their parents. With a B.S. in psychology, Elizabeth approaches education in a way that places the mental health of students first, knowing that if we are not happy, healthy, and thriving, completing mandatory tasks becomes even more difficult.
